Harry Little was a pre-war reservist whose service began on 9 November 1907. Entering the war in France on 20 August 1915 he served in France for the bulk of the war he was posted to 126 Stationary Battery on 27 June 1916. Wounded the next month on 20 July Little was reported to be suffering from Shell Shock on 3 August. Returning to duty at the end of the month he was clearly unable to perform his duties and was sent to an Army Rest Camp on 4 September. After a spell in hospital he returned to the field again on 20 May 1918; sold together with a pearl and silver knife hallmarked for Sheffield 1853, the case for a cigarette lighter and a commemorative George VI coronation medal.
