Jesse Willoughby was born at Wroughton and enlisted at Shirehampton. He served in Egypt from 27 April 1915 and was killed in action on 4 March 1917, being buried in the Salonika (Lembet Road) Military Cemetery. Willoughby was the grandson of Mrs H.Willoughby of 15 Wharf Road, Wroughton, Wiltshire.
