William Robert Pearson served with the Coldstream Guards in 30 August 1914 and was discharged at the end of his term in 17 April 1916. Having re-enlisted (No. 18563), he was discharged again on 23 December 1916, due to Mediastinal Neoplasin. He was also wounded in the left shoulder by gun shot during the Great War.
