The 'Kyrios' Collection | A Pair of Cistophoric Tetradrachms (2): i) Mysia, Pergamon (after 133 BC), AR Cistophoric Tetradrachm, snake emerging from cista mystica within Dionysiac wreath, symbols around, rev. serpents around bow case, ME-A above around monogram, monogram in left field, 12.11g (SNG Copenhagen 436), nicely toned, good detail, extremely fine; ii) AR Cistophorus, snake emerging from lid of cista mystica, within ivy-wreath, rev. ee, bow case between two serpents with entwined tails, A-K across both fields (=year 21 of the reign of Attalos II), EPHE in left field, double cornucopia in right field, 12.66g (Kleiner - ; Noe, series 34a) residually lustrous, softening at higher points, very fine (2)
