Provenance
The Owen-Rooke Collection of Oxfordshire Pennies (978-1272)

Cataloguer's Note: The beautiful toning of this coin and die duplication with examples recovered from Chancton Farm (1867) and Walbrook (1872) would immediately suggest that this coin has been recovered from one of these hoards; most probably thereafter having passed through the Briggs (1893) and Lockett (1955) cabinets, if not an undocumented one to the present day. No comparable is to be found on CoinArchives and the other five examples traced are all impounded in Museum collections
