QVÆ DEVS CONIVNXIT NEMO SEPARET, no stops in legend, smaller square-topped and lightly garnished shield, plume above, 29.40g, 2h, m.m. trefoil over lys [both sides] (Lingford 67 same dies; FRC X*/XIX* [Sale, lot 36]; North 2121; Spink 2665), even circulation wear to portrait and the usual die flaw below ground-line, otherwise uniformly struck with rich cabinet tone, strictly fine / very fine, scarce
