IACOBVS D : G : MAG : BRI : FRA : ET HIB : REX, colon stops, fine border beading, fourth laureate and cuirassed bust left, small ties by value, rev. FACIAM EOS IN GENTEM VNAM (m.m.), no stops in legend, coarse border beading, crowned square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, 9.05g, 10h, no stops by m.m. trefoil (Schneider II, - [cf. 86]; North 2114; Spink 2638B), superficial scratch by eye, with large die flaws on obverse and traces of doubling to legends, otherwise a naturally toned and originally lustrous example, very fine or near so, and immensely popular in the present market
