Edward IV, First Reign (1461-1470), Half-Ryal, 1466-1469, London, ED | WARD * DI * GRA '* REX * ANG [FRANC], King standing in ship, banner inscribed with E on stern and rose on side, sword in right hand, shield in left, trefoil stops, rev. DOMINE ** NE * IN FVRORE * TVO ARGVAS * ME, rose over sun with fleurs, crowned lions, small trefoils in spandrels, trefoil stops, 3.71g, 7h, i.m. crown (North 1554; Schneider 383; Spink 1959), removed from a mount at 4 and 8 o'clock with residual solder, cleaned and gilt, crimped and flattened, otherwise struck details bolder than fine to very fine in parts
