Nicola Moss has been making art medals since 1984. She was the recipient of the J. Sanford Saltus Award for signal achievement in the art of the medal, awarded by The American Numismatic Society in New York in 1996. She studied at Canterbury College of Art and Design with Richard Rome, and at Penn State University (USA) with tutor and sculptor, John Cook, who first introduced her to the art of the medal.
Her work is in public collections around the world, including the British Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, National Museum of Scotland, the Smithsonian Institute, and the Negushi Equine Museum in Japan.
