Celtic Gold Coins (2) | Belgae, Uninscribed Issues (c. 65-40 BC), "Hampshire Thunderbolt" Type, AV Quarter-Stater, abstract, geometric motif, two figures standing with a boat, rev. cruciform thunderbolt motif, other unintelligible patterns, 1.37g, 12h (VA 143; ABC 143; Spink 46), an attractive example with reverse design particularly clear, hints of tone, very fine; additionally, Atrebates & Regni, Uninscribed Issues (c. 60-50 BC), "Westerham South" Type, AV Stater, devolved head of Apollo right, wreath, cloak and crescents, rev. disjointed horse left, stick legs and pellets above, 6.12g, 9h (VA 202-1; ABC 482; Spink 21), die slightly off-centre, more obvious of reverse, pleasant tone and details, strong strike, very fine (2)
