Persia: 1887-1908 a group of covers to Persia with 1887 envelope from Cairo to Ispahan with the circular Sea Post Office handstamp with number insertion (these are scarce and were replaced when the numbers ran into four digits); 1899 commercial envelope from Cairo to Bushire bearing the handstruck oval, 1894 registered envelope from Wantage to Bushire; 1904 envelope from Schibin-el-Kom, Egypt to Ispaham with the boxed Sea Post Office datestamp in purple. Also 1908 envelope registered from Koh I Malek to Kew, Surrey bearing 39ch. franking tied by customs exchange c.d.s. with "R" in circle and handstruck oval with manuscript "22" insertion and Kew Gardens arrival c.d.s. and 1885 envelope from Aden to Bombay which includes the rare circle handstamp with number insertion.
