1893 two autograph letters signed by Kitchener as Sirdar, written to Burn-Murdoch offering him the rank of Lt Col in the Egyptian Army in command of 8 Squadron, with details of his contract. 1896 ALS from Burn-Murdoch to Col Leslie Rundle regarding "refugees" and confusion relating to boats approaching Fereig. A response by Rundle is written at the conclusion with a further pencil explanation relating to this incident (3)
