1866 4pp Autograph letter from a French soldier, Peyri, to his parents in France. Writing from Goree en route to Gabon, he reports that he was working at the local hospital. He further describes the country's hunting opportunities, travelling up the Senegal River towards the city of Podor, shooting species of birds and hares and seeing alligators and monkeys.
