Prince Yusupov (1856-1928)
1918 (February-December) Autograph letters written in Russian at the height of the civil war, by Count Sumarov-Elston, Felix Felixovich, Prince Yusupov, from the Crimea to his mistress Zinaida Grigorievna (1880-1965). Following the murder of Rasputin in which his son was implicated, he left Saint Petersburg for his Kursk estate.
Touching and loving messages written on notepaper, two postcards and a pictorial lettercard, he expresses his concern for Grigorievna. In April 1919 Count Sumarov-Elston left Russia on HMS Marlborough and in 1920 succeeded in rescuing his mistress and her children (9)
