Charles Tennyson Dickens MBE (1900-1985)
Grandson of the celebrated author, who became Deputy Postmaster General, Superintendent of Post offices Kangra Division and at Quetta, retired to Natal, South Africa in 1947. Two ledgers and one lever arch file covering his life.
Correspondence deals with his official duties, the work after the Quetta earthquake during which his wife was injured and his five year old daughter killed. Numerous financial and personal information, press articles, a printed ledger for the Indo-European Telegraph Department with various entries relating to his life and career. An eclectic mix of official, personal and family history formed by a somewhat eccentric individual bearing a famous name (3)
