1948 March "Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Number" published in South Africa by "INDIAN OPINION", a newspaper started in 1903 by Gandhi and the Natal Indian Congress in its fight against racial discrimination in that country.
This 58 page tribute with many photo plates is in English and Gujarati, with a front cover printed in silver depicting Gandhi walking into the distance. A rare publication.
Togther with a government Blue Book titled "Further Correspondence Relating to Legislation Affecting Asiatics in the Transvaal", published in 1908, with numerous references to Gandhi. Worn along the spine, but an important primary document highlighting the issues at the time (2)
