Balloon Flight
1882 Decorative advertising card for Blackburn's Hats and Overcoats dropped by a Mr. Williams on 5 June from a balloon that should have been piloted by Col. Fred Burnaby on "The Channel Balloon Voyage". Burnaby, a well known Army Officer and adventurer had been called up for active service in Egypt, and his friend, Mr. Williams made the flight. Together with a label produced by Goddard inscribed "J.F. Goddard Aeronaut" (2)
