The Robin Gain Collection of Samuel Pepys and Pepys Related Documents
1650-1701, a collection of financial documents and warrants including 1650 warrant from Sir Henry Vane to Thomas Fauconberg; 1664, two ALS from Sir Robert Long to "Mr. Burges" giving instructions for payments to Sir Phillip Warwick, both with address panels; 1671 and 1676 signed receipts (cut) "Arlington" and "Howard" with "Ashely" on reverse; 1675 payment order signed "Danby"; 1675 itemised bill drawn up by John Pelling (apothecary to Pepys), issued to Mr. Southwell; 1677 warrant signed Brouncker; Warrant signed Robert Vyner; 1701 exchequer document signed Godfrey Kneller and two orders signed by John Cox. A superb group and a wonderful insight into the finances of this period.
