1655-97, a group of naval documents (8) including 1655 from Richard Creed regarding conduct of officers (ex Alfred Morrison Collection); 1664 document signed by Thomas Townsend regarding expenses; 1667 Navy Office document signed Brouncker and Middleton; 1669 order to Chatham signed Brouncker, Mennes, Middleton and Tippett; 1686 Navy Office document regarding an order for "Straight and Compass oak timber greatly wanted there for the Kent and Albemarle" signed Deane, Narborough, Berry and Godwin"; 1697 Navy Board receipt signed "G: Rooke" and (date obscured) order issued to Woolwich signed Narborough, Berry, Godwin and Mennes. A superb group.
