1867 (26 Nov.) envelope to Guernsey "Via marseilles" bearing India 6a.8p. tied by manuscript date with light strikes of Suez (11.12) and London Paid (23.12) with Guernsey arrival on the reverse (24.12). Sent by Capt. Durand, the Brigade Major and marked "AQ/X" in the lower corner. Most of the flap and part of the front missing. A rare cover sent before the introduction of local postmarks. R.P.S.
