1764-1856 a small group of entires (12) including 1765 (Feb.) entire letter marked "by x post" from Wells to Bridgwater with crisp "wells." handstamp, 1779 from Northallerton to London bearing "north/allerton" handstamp, 1785 from Barnard Castle to Bristol bearing faint "barnard/castle" handstamp, both with bishop marks, 1788 Somerton to Stowey via cross post with "136 somer/ton" handstamp in use between 1786-90, 1790 from Gloucester to Bath charged "4" with straight line "glocester" handstamp, 1795 from Calne to Highworth marked "x Post" and with straight line "calne" handstamp, c.1795 from Marlborough to Highworth marked "X Post" with attractive serpentine "marl/borough" handstamp, 1810, 1811 two entires from Liverpool to Tortola ex the Walters correspondence 1843 front from Devizes to Bristol bearing 1d. red tied by Maltese Cross in black and additionally by "Missent to/Bath" handstamp and 1856 envelope from Wolverhampton to London bearing 1855 1d. red-brown tied by superb second type '905' spoon duplex. Generally fine and a good group of markings.
