(x) Charles II (1660-1685), Five-Guineas, 1677 VICESIMO NONO, first laureate bust right, pointed truncation, rev. no stop after HIB, crowned shields cruciform, emblem adorned sceptres in angles, upwards raised lettered edge, 7h (MCE 15; EGC 186; Spink 3328A), lightly tooled to the legends and through the English shield, the fields with scattered bagmarks and rub to the higher points of the hair, otherwise with a pleasing red tone, more so to the peripheries, very fine, in unrecognised 'ICG' holder, graded EF40 (Cert. #5498500109)
