Harthacnut (1040-1042), 'Arm and Sceptre' Type, Penny, in the name of Cnut, London, Brungar, + CNVT RECX AN : diademed and draped bust left, trefoil-tipped sceptre in left hand, rev. + BRVNGAR ON LVNDE : central pellet within pellet-tipped quadrilateral over voided short cross, 1.02g [15.74grns], 12h (SCBI 14 [Copenhagen III], 2265; North 799; BMC II; Spink 1169), hairline crack through portrait, otherwise richly cabinet toned, struck details bolder than very fine in most parts
