Francis Matthew Henry Alexander was born on 4 October 1905 and served with the Merchant Navy during the Second World War. He is entitled to the 1939-1945 Star, Atlantic Star, Italy Star and War Medal 1939-45 (No. R18961). Alexander remained in the Merchant Navy and died from a fall at Hamburg Docks in 1960.
