William George Tearle was born at Bothwell, Northamptonshire on 23 January 1898. He is noted as serving with the Royal Navy and later joining the Royal Naval Air Service on 5 October 1916. Promoted Aircraftman class II on 31 December 1918 he was discharged on 2 February 1919.
