Alfred William Waddling was born on 18 November 1896 and was mobilised on 28 October 1915 at Bloomsbury with the Royal Field Artillery. Posted to No. 2 Section - 56th (1st London) Division Ammunition Column in France on 26 June 1916, remaining with them until demobilisation on 3 July 1919. Waddling died at St. Pancras in 1973; sold together with copied research including M.I.C., service papers and an article on the 56th (1st London) Division.
