Thomas Wright enlisted on 22 September 1914 at Helena Vale, Western Australia, a farmer by trade. He was killed in action on the 30 April 1915, aged 23, whilst serving with the 16th Battalion and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial. He was the son of Edward and Mary Ann Wright of 17 Stanley Street, Elswick, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England.
