Albert Joseph Perry was born at Wycombe on 12 December 1881 and enlisted with the 9th Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps during the Great War. Entering the war in France on 16 June 1915 Perry will have seen heavy fighting with the Battalion engaged at Hooge, Loos and on the Somme. Eventually his luck ran out and he was wounded in action and discharged on 15 May 1918; sold together with copied M.I.C., medal rolls and silver war badge list.
