John Roberts was born in 1893 and was the son of Hugh and Margaret Roberts of Mount Street, Menai Bridge, Anglesey. He served in France with the 17th Battalion from 8 December 1915 and was killed in action on 12 July 1916. Roberts is commemorated upon the Thiepval Memorial.
