Owen William Jones was born at Lllanllyfar in 1883 and served in France with the Royal Welch Fusiliers from 5 September-22 October 1915, before proceeding to Salonika. He served there from 23 October 1915-10 January 1917, apart from being sent to Malta for diabetes treatment in October 1916. He was discharged in February 1917.
