George Worthington was born at Weaste, Manchester in 1877 and was a brass moulder by trade upon joining the King's Own (Royal Lancaster) Regiment on 2 February 1898, having served in the Militia previously. Having been wounded in action at Venters Spruit on 3 February 1901, Worthington was eventually discharged on 3 February 1910 and appears to have died in 1939; sold together with copied research.
