John Mannion served in the Militia, before joining the King's Own (Royal Lancaster) Regiment on 26 November 1891 at Newcastle-Under-Lyme, a hatter by trade. Having been discharged on 25 November 1903, he settled in Hyde and died in 1948; sold together with copied research.
