Victory Medal 1914-19 (Capt. H. G. Powers.), good very fine

[M.C.] London Gazette 25 August 1917.

Herbert Grendon Powers served with the 6th Battalion, Hampshire Regiment and thence with the 1st King George's Own Gurkha Rifles (The Malaun Regiment). Present with the 1st Battalion as Adjutant. Having been awarded the Military Cross he was killed in action on 19 September 1918 and is buried in the Ramleh Cemetery.
