Leaving Temeraire on 9 January 1915, Martin's next posting afloat was Marlborough on 30 April. He was still stationed with this ship during the Battle of Jutland where she acted as Flagship for Vice-Admiral Sir Cecil Burney. During the fighting she was seen to land several hits upon a Kaiser-class Battleship, with good effect and later joined the vessels hammering the Light Cruiser Wiesbaden. Struck by a torpedo around 18:00 she continued to fight, engaging several Koing-Class battleships and landing hits on Grosser Kurfürst. As the fleets disengaged the damage to Marlborough began to tell and she returned to the Humber for repairs.

Martin remained with the Royal Navy after the Battle of Jutland, being posted to the depot ship Fearless for the submarine K5 on 16 October 1917. Fortunately he was not aboard her after the war when she was lost with all hands during a training exercise.
