A group of Registered covers (8) including 1883 (20 Dec.) envelope bearing 2d. lilac and 6d. brown with 'registered at / wellington' oval in violet, 1886 envelope from New Plymouth to Picton bearing 1d. rose (8) tied by New Plymouth c.d.s. cancellations and with earliest recorded strike of 'registered' single line handstamp, 1897 envelope to Germany with ½d. and 2½d. (2), 1900 (Apr.) envelope to Blenheim bearing 1d. rose, 2d. lilac and 2½d. (2) in combination with 1898 pictorial 1d., etc., chiefly fine and a lovely and colourful group
