The only comparable example of this rare coin to be offered at auction in the last 20 years was the Harry Manville coin (Spink 9, 4 June 1980, lot 56), re-offered in Spink 196, 24-25 September 2008, lot 929. The two coins are almost identical in terms of quality, and they are from the same dies.
