Comprising: Major-General's Full-Dress jacket, of superfine scarlet melton, gold bullion oakleaf decoration to collar, cuffs and tails, heavy gold bullion epaulettes correctly ranked to a Major-General above the letter 'R', General Officer's pattern buttons to front, cuffs and tails, beckets on left breast for medals and breast Star, interior white wool and silk, collar bearing tailor's label: 'J.B. Johnstone, London and Dublin. Genl. E. Leach C.B., 3323, 15.6.94'; Major-General's Mess Dress jacket, of superfine scarlet melton, black facings, epaulettes correctly ranked to a Major-General, collar bearing tailor's label: 'J.B. Johnstone Ltd., London, Dublin & Lahore, Gen. Sir E. Leach KCB, 3840, 26.7.09'; a black Mess Dress waistcoat, with General Officer's pattern silver-gilt buttons to front; a pair of Mess Dress overalls, with red stripe to outside leg; a Mess Dress evening cape, of black superfine melton with red lining, four Staff pattern gilt buttons to front (one missing); two pairs of red leather and gold lace sword-slings; four pairs of matching spurs; one pair of boot-pulls; the uniforms in remarkably good condition for age, complete and with little evidence of wear or moth damage, good very fine (Lot)
