Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, Tyne Division Badge, the reverse engraved 'Cutter 1925. J. J. Clark. E.R.A.', good very fine

Joseph James Clark was born on 17 July 1893 and enlisted with the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve on 29 June 1912. Serving on H.M.S. New Zealand from June-July 1914 he transferred to Agincourt on 2 August 1914, serving with her for the rest of the war including the Battle of Jutland where Agincourt was heavily engaged. He was confirmed as an Engine Room Rating, Class II on 28 December 1915; sold together with copied service records and an article on Agincourt at Jutland.
