Harold Edward Chivers was born at Barry, Glamorgan in 1895, the son of Frederick and Rose Chivers. Working as an Apprentice Engine Fitter in 1911 he was commissioned Engineering Sub-Lieutenant with the Royal Naval Reserve in 1918; sold together with copied census data and service records.
