Robert William Kendrick was born in November 1894 at Nottingham and served in France with the Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment from 28 February 1915. He joined the Royal Flying Corps on 22 December 1916 and served with No. 39, 153 and 44 Squadron.
