Bert William Collins
enlisted at Newport, Glamorgan and entered the war in France on 27 September 1915 with the 1st Battalion, Monmouthshire Regiment. The Battalion war diary states that 'B' Company, 1st Battalion was marching from Tilloy-Les-Hermaville to Maroeuil in order to aid in the construction of a transfer station for a railway when Rifleman Collins died of wounds on 28 April 1916; sold together with typed research.
