Great War Bronze Memorial Plaque (Robert Harold Mason), set in a metal frame, good very fine

Robert Harold Mason was born at Cardiff in 1895, the son of Robert and Margaret Mason of The Laurels, St. Fagen's, Cardiff. Enlisting at Cardiff with the Royal Artillery Mason was posted to 'B' Battery, 48th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery. Entering the war on 1 April 1915 he served for over a year until suffering a severe wound. Mason died of wounds on 7 September 1915 and was buried at the St. Sever Cemetery, Rouen; sold together with Commonwealth War Graves details and an article of the Great War casualties at St. Fagan's churchyard.
