Great War Bronze Memorial Plaque (Johnnie Jones), somewhat polished, very fine
Johnnie Jones is listed nowhere by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission however there are three men by the name Johnny Jones. One of these three is listed as Johnnie Jones on the registry of soldier's effects, that being Private Jones, 14th (Swansea) Battalion, Welsh Regiment. Jones served with the number 39546 and was killed in action on 22 August 1917 at Ypres. He is commemorated upon the Tyne Cot Memorial; sold together with copied handwritten notes and Commonwealth War Graves details.
