Victory Medal 1914-1919 (12689. Cpl. L. Parsons. R.A.F.), very fine

Leslie Parsons was born at Dewlish, Dorchester in 1889. Enlisted on 5 November 1915 as an Aircraftman Class II he was posted to 45 Squadron on 8 October 1916 when that unit was sent to France and promoted Aircraftman Class I the next month on 1 November. The Squadron transferred to Italy in late 1917 and Parsons went with them being advanced Corporal on 1 November 1917. After service with 207 Squadron after the end of the war he was transferred to the reserve on 12 November 1919. Finally discharged on 4 November 1923.
