1914-15 Star (763 Pte E.J. Thornburrow. 31 Bn A.I.F.), good very fine

Edward James Thornburrow was born in Valetta, Malta, and attested for 'C' Company 31st Battalion Australian Imperial Force in July 1915. The 31st saw service in Egypt and France during the Great War, with one member of the regiment (Private Patrick Bugden) being awarded the Victoria Cross and another (Sergeant David Coyne) the Albert Medal in Gold.
