Frank Mann was born at Nottingham in 1896, the son of Frederick and Lucy Mann. Enlisting at Nottingham with the Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment) Mann was posted to 17th Battalion (Welbeck Rangers). The Battalion entered the war on 6 March 1916, later that year Mann was seriously wounded, dying on 1 August 1916; sold together with copied research including Commonwealth War Graves details and handwritten research.
