Edwin Ernest Keeley served with the 24th Royal Fusiliers (2nd Sportsman Battalion) in France from November 1915, winning the Military Medal a year later. He was subsequently commissioned into the 3rd East Yorkshire Regiment, before later transferring to the Gordon Highlanders. Keeley applied for his medals in August 1921 and appears at that time to have been living between Driffield and Weybourne; sold together with some copied research and M.I.C.
