William Elliot was born in 1894, a native of Cudham, Kent and the son of Mr & Mrs Elliott of Aperfield Cottage, Biggin Hill. Elliott served in France with the 37th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery from 23 August 1914. He was serving with 'A' Battery, 86th Brigade by 1918 and died of wounds on 28 March 1918, being buried in the St Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen.
