W. Holdsworth was born on 30 April 1898. He served in the regular army for some before the Second World War, being awarded his Army L.S. & G.C. in 1939. The 7th Battalion, Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Regiment entered Naples in autumn 1944; sold together with copied research including medal roll, a summary of discharge and medal award documents.
