J. Wallace served in South Africa with the Northumberland Fusiliers during the Second Anglo-Boer War. The Medal Roll confirms entitlement to these medals and clasps; also a remark that the number on his King's South Africa Medal is an error and that 7279 is correct. Upon discharge he resumed previous service with the 4th Battalion Durham Light Infantry; sold together with copied Medal Roll extracts.
